Status Report

1. Blake is still serving with the Army in the Middle East. Note to Washington DC: Either fight to win or bring them all home. What parents will NOT support is the manipulative political BS that neither wins nor loses. "Because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth." (Yes, this subject led me to crack open a Bible for the first time in a couple of years.

2. Trent is committed to being a GREAT drummer, and it shows! If you live near Seattle, go see him perform. You'll be astounded. You can also see him on youtube.

3. The latest for Kathy and I: we "hit a bucket o' balls" at the local driving range. (Fortunately, I wasn't very good. The last thing I needed was some activity for which I had great potential that would eventually end in gross underachievement.) Golfers always tell you not to golf with your wife. I don't see the reason for this. It was fun doing it with the little woman.

4. Interacting (phone and email) with my online students makes me miss teaching in the traditional classroom. Also, I miss you, Mark and Nola (Harbor College Humanities and Fine Arts folks)!
