Pro football is just a dumb game played by overpaid dumb guys, right?
The National Football League is nothing more than a glitzy, increasingly politically correct greed machine, right?
Buffalo is just a pathetic little city-ette, right?
The Buffalo Bills are one of the more pathetic pro football teams, right?

Answer to all four: yes.

So why, in a society so steeped in poor self-images and reasons to have one, would I still, at my advanced age, be unable to shake the Bills from my psyche?
