Humorous verse for the over-educated

The Peking Man often enjoyed
a good "hung oven" duck
(long before our Sigmund Freud
made it a big yuk (yuck!)

to serve to his thin, famished, new
Homo erectus friends.
And that's another yuk. (Thank you
to Sigmund Freud again.)

Because the Church, long in the tooth,
had lost its push, or pull,
Rene Descartes searched for a Truth
incontrovertible.

(Ego.) "Ergo," declared that sage,
"I doubt all that I find,"
long before our modern age
said, "What a waste of mind!"
