Update
It has been too long since my last update, especially given the fact that several kind folks have written to say they've been reading the site regularly. So since enough folks seem to be interested, here is the current state of things.
- Kathy and I are living in California, and are "homeless" in many senses of that term, though none of the worst ones. We are each trying to serve the people around us in whatever ways seem helpful, and I (not Kathy so much, who is a generally more likeable person, as you know) am trying to spread around the joy of my presence to enough houses that I don't become an excessive burden on anyone's gracious hospitality.
- As you may know, we are here because of the serious illness of a beloved family member, and we currently intend to remain here until Kathy's assistance - medical, spiritual, etc. - no longer seems as critically needed.
- It feels a bit like trying to cross a fast moving river by stepping along the chaos of floating logs. Stability, money, relationships, the future - they are all providing opportunities for concern, fear, sorrow and possible faith and faithfulness; though I personally confess to feeling pretty damned lost.
But I don't want to be too much of a downer, so here is the funniest bumper sticker I have ever seen. I saw it today; it was homemade: "What would Scooby Do?"
