Status Report - June 6/21/05

-Here I am, displaying my personal business for anyone who cares to look, when many others are scrambling obsessively to protect every remaining ounce of privacy. I must be a sicko. When I am in trouble because somebody who hates me misused the honesty (it happens more than anyone would like to admit), don't forget to ask yourself - Is there anybody on earth who would survive if his/her enemies decided to use public information - with a useful spin, of course - against him or her (probably "him")?

-A family sorrow has made it 95% certain that we will be moving back to Southern Cal before Christmas.

-Recently I wrote and published a book and I wrote and produced a music CD. No sales. Which means no interest. I am embarrassed. I thought at least *some* people would be hungry for what I had to offer. Not so. If I was young and filled with beans, I'd "buck up" and move on. Instead, I'm just old and discouraged.

-Hello there, Sue at my athletic club! You always ask me how I am doing, and I always give you a smart ass answer. Do you want to know how someone else perceives you? Here you go: you are young, pretty, smart, kind and strong of soul. It makes me wish I had a son your age just so I could steer him your way! Failing that, thanks for being as nice to old, fat and ugly people as you are to young, svelt and pretty people!

-Wanted: a person born in Mexico that now lives in the US - somewhere near Tacoma or Gig Harbor - who wants to become proficient in speaking English. *I* want to become proficient in speaking Spanish. Let's get together once a week and teach each other.
