Dear...

  • Each of us has unique personality strengths, and weaknesses that complicate our relationships.
  • Each of us has information, knowledge and experience that the other does not have.
  • Each of us perceives things based on some assumptions and impulses that are not entirely objective or rational.
  • Each of us has the need to accept forgiveness, and each has opportunities to forgive. They can not be separated. We can't have one without the other; we can't reject one without rejecting the other.
True wisdom and true goodness can only come from having some grace and mercy toward each other. With that foundation, we can learn from each other, encourage and correct each other as needed, and have a healthy friendship.

I am willing to do this with you. What do you think?

(One major qualifier: it can not happen through our computers. Unless it's face to face, the effort will fail.)
